Wei LIN

Lin Wei is the managing partner, and member of executing board committee at P.C. Woo & Zhonglun W.D.LLP.

Dr. Lin has gained a bachelor’s degree in International Economic Law at Xiamen University, a master’s degree in International Law at Dalian Maritime University, and a doctor’s degree in Civil and Commercial law at Université PARIS II Panthéon-Assas in 2007, and afterwards went to Harvard University as a visiting scholar.

Dr. Lin specializes in foreign direct investment, cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions, international trade remedies, dispute resolution and other fields. Dr. Lin has provided legal advice and services for a large number of listed companies and foreign enterprises, issued legal opinions and conducted due diligence for foreign direct investment, cross-border investment and financing, risk management, cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions, corporate restructuring and other projects. Dr. Lin has extensive experiences in the field of international trade, especially in maritime and admiralty law, and provided comprehensive legal services in contract of carriage of goods by sea, marine insurance, ship construction, ship sale and purchase, international trade negotiations, etc. Dr. Lin has participated in numerous international arbitration cases in relation to cross-border investment and maritime affairs, in the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the China Maritime Arbitration Commission, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the ICC International Court of Arbitration (Paris, Geneva), and engaged in dozens of transnational Mergers and Acquisitions projects with an amount over billions of U.S. dollars in Europe, United States, Asia and Africa, involving real estate, engineering construction, machinery manufacturing, new energy, medicine, food, fashion consumer products, educational media, e-commerce, IT industry, etc.

Dr. Lin previously served as the managing partner at Shanghai Office of Zhonglun W&D Law Firm and the vice chairman thereof. Since May 2013, Dr. Lin has also worked as a registered foreign lawyer at P.C. Woo & Co. In Hong Kong, and since June 2019, Dr. Lin has served as the managing partner at P.C. Woo & Zhonglun W.D. LLP.

Dr. Lin is capable to provide legal service in Mandarin, French, English and Fujian dialect fluently.
