On 25 April 2019, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (“HKIAC”) became the first foreign arbitral institution that be granted permission to function as a permanent arbitral arbitration (“PAI”) Russia’s Arbitration Legislation.
Statistics from the Ministry of Justice show that by the end of 2018, 255 arbitration commissions with more than 60,000 staff (the number includes over 50,000 arbitrators) had been set up in mainland China.
A new set of Arbitration Rules (the “Rules”) published by the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (“SCIA”) on 23rd December 2018, recently came into effect on 22nd February 2019.
