People never fathomed,

That this beautiful world could crumble some day.

At the hands of a virus,

That spread through the air leaving all astray.

Coronavirus,

Devil Virus,

Back in 2019 nobody knew what 2020 would bring.

Instead of Spring Festival zing,

Wuhan amassed a quiet sting.

In an instant three cities were hit,

Consumed by panic everyone froze.

At the unprecedented rate of speed it transmit,

Entering through mouth and nose,

Into the lungs, heart, kidney, and liver it went.

Lives were at stake,

Cities closed, isolated, and masked,

Chinese and western medicine combined for the task.

Let us rise together,

Until the day the virus has been defeated.

We remain at its mercy,

Who would have imagined,

That the sneaky virus would then extend its toll overseas,

Through air and sea all five continents were blackened.

First went Europe, putting France, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Italy at risk,

Next went the Middle East, taking Iran, Egypt and the UAE by storm,

And at last settling on North and South America, leaving Brazil, Mexico, and the United States astray.

The virus itself is like none other seen before.

Human panic leads to pandemic.

Over the five continents it grows afoul,

Air and sea transport all halted, countries collapse into utter chaos.

During this calamity,

Suspects should have been forgotten,

Differences ignored.

But will you be like those,
Who would rather focus on investigating the root,

Than to focus on saving lives?

Was it from Wuhan?
The United States?

Iran?

… Or maybe even from out of this world?

There are even those clowns,

Who had the gall to sue China in court!
This type of action is without reason,

Leaving people‘s hearts as barren as the dry season.

Here’s a message to all those who defy,

Forget all that ignorance, let the narrow selfish arguments go by,

And leave room for humanity to flourish.

Viruses never followed a political agenda,

It’s hard to imagine where this type of thinking ever came.

The only thing they care about is our body’s splendor,

Uniting the world to infect everyone the same.

Right now,

The only enemy is the virus anyhow,

As for where the virus came from,

Only scientists are qualified to confirm.

The enemy of today,

Sees no difference between their Northern or Southern prey,

Neither Europe nor the Americas,

Nor countries big or small,

Not even America, China or the UAE can be safe from it all. 

Black, yellow, red or fair,

Male, female, young or frail,

To the virus everyone appears as fair game.

All of humanity!

Here’s a call to stop the insanity,

Quit the nonsense debates,

While virus and time race against our fate.

The virus shifts and changes, like magic it grows claws,

More so than us humans who shudder under our flaws.

Our enemy is the virus.

The moment nations begin to join forces,

Is the moment when the fight may reach an outcome so desirous.

Protection of the Earth and all of humanity must be endorsed!

Whether you like it or not,

Humanity is now united and united we must stand,

This is the horn which our era has brought.

If you want the spread of the virus to be prevented,

If you want to stop the virus from returning,

If you want to contain the Coronavirus,

If you want to restore the worlds true colors once more,

China, The United States, all five continents,

People from all over the world we can only unite! Unite!

We must stand together to discover new ways to combat!

Otherwise we humans will never be alright,

Coronavirus will forever be around to attack all those in sight.
